Individuals
- Anne Rybak — Anne is a teacher and a professional photographer of artwork and gardens. Then too, Anne is a bundle of fun and her images are amazing.
- Michael Schultz — Now here is a real treat. Fall into the pages on Michael’s website and you’ll find yourself looking at his amazing design work from The Hamptons to San Francisco. Michael has a great knowledge of plant materials and a deep understanding of hardscapes. The icing on the cake is that a garden conversation with Michael is a joy. He leaves you feeling like you did when your child’s teacher thought your son or daughter was the most brilliant child ever born. Go figure.
- Katy McFadden — Ceramic and print artist extraordinaire, you don't want to miss the opportunity to visit her SW Portland studio and garden during one of Katy's open studios. Usually scheduled for June and December, you'll be able to see her huge kiln and walk the garden paths. A treat for the soul. Her public work is scattered around the city, but a perfect place to see her large figures is at the West Linn Library.
- Sara Swink — Ceramic artist and workshop leader, Sara creates a studio in SW Portland that is part work space and part gallery. Check out her current work and those pieces she isn’t yet ready to give up, then sign up for her Saturday open studios so you can experience Sara's gentle way of encouraging and enthusing your inner artist. Sara is part of the Open Studios tour this year, or email her to make an appointment for your visit.
- Little and Lewis — These guys know how to use concrete sculpture and paint to give gardens focus and punch. Tropical, colorful, full of water features and their famous concrete leaf forms, you'll be so glad to have made the trip to their Bainbridge Island garden. Track their open garden schedule to plan your visit.
- Lucca Statuary — Just north of downtown Seattle you'll enter an oasis of concrete sculpture. Full of fountains, figures and finials, this place is concrete heaven. And don't forget to check out the bird baths! Our favorite is the shallow dish with the koi embedded in the basin. Filled with water, it is gorgeous. Oh, and the guys can stain the statuary the color of your choice.
- Peter Andrusko — Stone mason and creative genius, Peter is a magician with stone and many other materials. Often working with natural stone to create his amazing fireplace or garden ornaments, Peter works with almost any material to create the effect you are looking for. An old world craftsman with the mind of an inventor, you need to meet this artist.
